Smart Information Systems

We develop and upgrade scalable information systems that link existing administrative information and registration systems with labour forces across countries.

Our mobility-sensitive systems improve service delivery of national authorities and enhance the matching of provided services to private sector needs.

  • We assess workflows of Public Employment Services (PES) and assess decision makers’ goals to ensure that information systems respond to clear policy priorities and institutional mandates.
  • Using big data approaches, we develop algorithms and jobseeker profiling techniques to define labour matching strategies with local and international industrial partners and employers based on employability maps.
  • We create smart digital assistants for PES caseworkers that streamline career guidance, counselling and placement services to improve workflow and productivity of staff.
  • We create recruitment options and services for PES in countries of origin (testing, recognition of prior learning and re-training). Based on an assessment of opportunity costs for regular ethical migration corridors, our team develops targeted mobility intelligence strategies.
  • We establish registration processes (SOPs) and help institutions to embed it in the workflow of their service delivery (training and capacity building).
  • We develop solutions for the labour market integration of refugees and asylum seekers.
  • We help clients set up clear objectives for scalable information systems to map the processes that the system should support in the future. Our comparative advantage is that we use open labour market approaches that take into account migration and mobility factors.
  • We conduct diagnostic analyses of existing systems and procedures to disseminate information, including aggregation of statistics and indicators for analytical purposes. Often ministries and agencies produce and publish data in isolation. We place all available information into a hub of producers and users, highlighting data gaps and designing a roadmap for a truly integrated information system.
  • We develop Standard Operating Procedures and design protocols for automatic data transmissions between data producing institutions.
